She holds an undergraduate degree in Drama from the University of Bristol (UK), an MFA in Film Directing from UCLA, and speaks five languages. Alexandra's films have screened at festivals around the world and won numerous awards, including 1st Place at the Student Emmys, an honourable mention from the DGA for best student film directed by a woman and a Gold EDI.

She has won multiple scholarships and grants, and has worked for the Sundance Writers' Lab and Marc Forster.
